If you should ever have a concern with your treatment, we want you to communicate with our office.  Fortunately, serious orthodontic emergencies are rare, but they do happen from time to time.  If you are ever experiencing severe pain or have an issue that you cannot correct yourself, call our office.  We will schedule time for one of our professionals to take a look and correct the problem.

Many times you can solve the problem at home until you are able to come to the office. If any piece has become loose and you can safely remove it, save it and bring it to the office in a plastic bag. If something is poking your mouth or gums, you can put a small amount of soft wax over the piece that is causing you problems.  It is important to know that these solutions are only temporary, and you will still need to schedule a visit in the office as soon as possible.  Broken or damaged appliances can cause delays and complications in your treatment.  It is best to get them fixed as soon as they become a problem, to avoid further complications.
